Lumber
DESCRIPTION
Lumber is a product made of natural wood, which is made by longitudinal sawing of logs with subsequent longitudinal and transverse division of the resulting parts. Natural wood is an environmentally friendly material that is best suited for the construction and decoration of houses. In addition to construction work, certain types of lumber can be used as biofuel for solid fuel boilers or as fertilizer in agriculture.
Such lumber as timber and board are most in demand nowadays. Edged boards and beams are characterized by precise geometric dimensions, straightness and stability of parameters during storage and transportation.
WOOD MANUFACTURE produces lumber of various geometric sizes, depending on orders, from species such as oak, birch and pine.

CATEGORIES
According to the size and aspect ratio, lumber is divided into types
Timber
This category includes materials of square or rectangular cross-sections with a side of 10 cm or more and an aspect ratio of no more than one to two.
Edging
Since the log has a circular cross-section, and the boards and beams have a rectangular cross-section, when cut, segments with one straight and one rounded side remain at the edges. This part is called the edging.
Board
This is the name given to rectangular lumber with a thickness of one and a half to 10 cm and a width that is more than twice the thickness.
Some classifications also mention such terms as plank and rail - parts with a rectangular cross-section, but too flat or narrow to meet the standards for a board or bar.
